WHAT IS OUR GOAL YOU ASK? OUR GOAL IS TO HELP PUMS MEDICAL STUDENTS GET ELECTIVES AND RESIDENCIES IN THE US AND CANADA. WE ARE RUN BY MEDICAL STUDENTS, FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS.

OUR MISSION

is both instructive and collaborative. NASG, with the help of upperclassmen, will share vital information while also building a foundational format from which future collaboration between students can grow.

OBJECTIVE

resources and information for medical students with the ultimate goal of achieving a residency position in either Canada or the United States.

PROVIDE

applying, networking and ultimately matching a residency requires a focus on: test prep, understanding what North American programs are looking for, how to secure electives at programs of interest, as well as tips on performance at your elective site, how to apply, and finally, how to match.

PROCESS

as liaison between all medical students of PUMS and the Dean’s Office

ACT

the student community with integrity, honor, and enthusiasm, which adds to the university’s young but strong tradition of academic excellence.

SERVE

to support and/or propose policies that promote the interests, needs, and wellbeing of all medical students

AIM

unity, teamwork, diversification, acknowledgement of excellence, mutual respect with a focus on the positive development of each and every individual.

SUPPORT

to and enhance PUMS campus culture with a fun, and engaging format.

CONTRIBUTE

an example as leaders to our peers on how to organize, strategize and transition into a professional environment.

BE

forward thinking, to not only to meet the needs of current PUMS students, but to also meet the needs of future PUMS students.

INSPIRE

events and NASG’s organization to inspire. We want underclassmen to look at NASG’s purpose and say “I want to be a part of this” and to call on them as they progress through their years at PUMS to give back and to provide this important service to their peers.
