What's the CS Room?

The Clinical Skills room is a place to practice medical clinical skills, to help you prepare for your electives and rotations and it is located in PUMS and is open to any and all medical students!

How do I sign up?

Click here to sign up on the Google spreadsheet,  the latest on SUNDAY of each week.  The signup spreadsheet is for 2 weeks only and every Saturday it will be reset.

When you book a time, please choose a two hour period (for example: 14-16 o’clock).

However, if by the Sunday of the week you’re booked you see that no one else is booked after your time slot, you can go ahead and stay as long as you like.

Please respect the room and leave it the way you got it and most importantly, have fun and enjoy the room! Practice cycles are arranged weekly and will begin again every Sunday. **This means you must sign up a week in advance ** (The latest you can send a sign-up request is by the Saturday night prior to the week of your desired practice time.)

What are the open hours?

CS Practice room is open every day, 8:00 – 22:00.

Where is the CS Practice Room?

In room #5 of the Aspirynka dorm. Show your Student ID to the porter: they will check your name and give you a key.

I specifically want to take the USMLE Step 2 CS. How should I go about doing that in this room?

NASG recommends:
1. To get the most out of your study, have 3 people per group (max 4),
2. Try to study in 2-hour blocks (to allow each person to rotate as the doctor 40 mins each).
3. Try to meet a total of 15 times (at least).
4. First Aid for the Step 2 CS Clinical Skills: Cases is enough!
5. Additional items for reference: Schwartz Physical Exam videos, Bates’ Guide to Physical Exam and History Taking.
