How important is it to do laundry while you are a medical student? Apparently, it’s very important. Hygiene and stuff you know. We understand it’s annoying but it’s a necessary evil. Okay, let’s cut to the chase.
Common Laundry Tips
- Make sure you use the appropriate settings as per machine you use.
- Keep an eye out for the timer and remove your clothes as soon as your laundry is done from washing machines and dryers.
- It’s common courtesy to remove the lint after you are done.
- Don’t wash carpets in the machine.
- Don’t leave your bags around in the laundry room.
Medyk.
Locate the laundry room on floor 3.
- There are three washing machines and 2 dryers in the Medyk laundry rooms.
- For the 3rd floor machines wait at least 2 minutes before opening the door after laundry is done (because the doors don’t open earlier than that)
- Only 3rd floor washing machines simultaneously dry your clothes so you’d have to put them in dryer for all other machines in the 1st floor.
- Write room number next to machine number on the list attached to the wall so that when your clothes are done someone can knock on your door to let you know
- Refrain from damaging the machines as if any is found broken everyone on the floor will have to ensure the cost is replaced.
