Mission Statement

The AMSA PUMS International Chapter seeks to create a sense of community among students with US-focused needs, serving as a bridge between our local grassroots initiatives and the largest national association of American medical students.

The American Medical Student Association is committed to improving health care and healthcare delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of all pre-health professional students.

Planning for US Residency

AMSA PUMS serves as a magnificent resource for students studying at PUMS, making a family out of students who aim to pursue residency training in the United States. From academic success events to volunteer efforts and social gatherings, AMSA PUMS strives to serve the interests of its members throughout their medical school journey.

How to Join

To become a member of AMSA, visit amsa.org. There is a 75 USD membership fee which covers your entire course of studies (includes both 6MD and AdvMD). After joining through AMSA.org, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram in order to stay up to date on information and University events!
