This is a pass/fail course. You will learn about human development of the cardiovascular, respiratory, neural, urinary, and gastrointestinal systems up until infancy.

Internal Tests

  • There is one final exam at the end of the course. To pass the course, you need to achieve at least 60% on this exam. The exam is multiple choice.


NBME

  • There is no independent NBME for this course; rather, it is part of the Gross Anatomy and Neuroscience course NBME.

This was a difficult course only because it can be difficult to visualize the 3D changes that occur during gestation. To help remember the sequence of events, create your own table of milestones for each organ system; to help remember the origins of structures, create a flowchart (examples below). Remember to keep reviewing these! For example, review the timeline and origins of structures after every class.
